It's a tale as old as time - a prince, a princess, a kiss, and a magic spell. But some things don't come in the order you would expect...

This twine game is meant to function as the opening chapter/setup for a potential visual novel project, focusing on narrative and scene-setting. It introduces two key characters, the setting and tone of the story, and voice of the protagonist.

There is a powerful wizard, said to wield fantastic magics to dispel the darkest of plagues from the village. This…is not his story. Rather, it is that of his familiar, a small black cat, born from a litter of white cats. What some would see as an ill omen instead seems to be focused on improving things. Your goal is to use your catlike abilities in order to remove distractions and take care of the wizard’s mental well-being as he prepares to save the village from a looming pestilence.
